In May 2023, our CEO, Markus Kainz, embarked on an exciting journey to Qatar to conduct an exciting workshop for the Doha Business Angels, in collaboration with EBAN – European Business Angels Network. EBAN’s mission revolves around fostering successful and responsible angel investing in Europe, empowering early-stage investors to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs, and representing the angel and early-stage investment community in EU institutions.
Over the course of two days, Markus delved into various facets of startup investments, beginning with the fundamentals like understanding the lifecycle of startups and exploring what it takes for a business angel to make the right investment decisions. On the second day, Markus drew from his own experiences to explain the process of crafting investment criteria and an investment thesis, as well as managing one’s portfolio.
This trip was an unforgettable experience, and we take immense pride in Markus’s role as an ambassador for Qatar. It not only allowed us to contribute to the growth and development of the Doha Business Angels but also served as an opportunity to strengthen our ties with the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Qatar.
