The production of a single new passenger car tyre (with a net weight of approx. 8 kg) consumes 230 kg of mineral and fossil resources.
Worldwide, 14 million tonnes of used tyres are produced every year.
More than 70% of these used tyres are incinerated (e.g.: in cement plants) or dumped in an environmentally harmful way.
Solution
Car tyres consist of 90% carbon (+ steel).
Through our closed, emission-free, thermal pyrolysis process (= carbonisation, = dry distillation) these carbons can be 100% recovered as gas, “diesel” and carbon black (=industrial soot) (+steel).
Market
Vacuum low-temperature system produces highest product quality
Energy self-sufficient process
Compact plant size for regional recycling
Lowest investment per 1,000 tonnes of recycling capacity
Can also be used for mobile landfill remediation
